Pledge to Stand With Public Lands

The Fight Is On.

America's national monuments protect some of our most iconic and important public lands. Unfortunately some national monuments — and the law that gives a president the authority to designate them — are under attack.

The National Monuments Act (also known as the Antiquities Act of 1906) is one of America's oldest, most important conservation laws, allowing presidents to quickly protect natural and cultural resources on public lands to preserve places and objects of "historic and scientific importance."

Since the Act's passage, 16 of 19 presidents from both parties have used it to designate national monuments, many of which went on to become the nation's most treasured national parks — including Grand Canyon, Bryce, Acadia, Olympic and Zion.

Sign our pledge today to stand with public lands, and we'll keep you in the loop on new actions to save national monuments and the Antiquities Act. Together we can take on Trump's administration through science, law, media and the collective voice of millions.
