Tucson: Support a City Resolution to Curb Global Warming

Climate change is happening now, but action to stop it always seems to be 10 years away. The longer we wait to act, the worse it gets and the worse the losses will be, both for us and for wildlife that's already struggling to survive.

Please, attend the council meeting this Tuesday to support the resolution.
 
Some members of Congress are trying to gut the Clean Air Act by preventing the Environmental Protection Agency from regulating emissions, not only of carbon dioxide but also of smog, soot, mercury and other toxic metals. We're looking to our cities to stand up to big polluters and stand up for the Clean Air Act.

As a leader in the fight against climate change, Tucson has an opportunity to stand up to big polluters by becoming a Clean Air City. It can pass an important resolution urging the Obama government to use the Clean Air Act to curb global warming now -- not in 2020 or 2040 or 2050, when it will already be too late.

Please let us know if you can attend the city council meeting to help push Tucson to become the next Clean Air City.
