May 6: Speak Up for National Monuments in Salt Lake

What: Rally in support of our national monuments
When: Saturday, May 6, 1-3 p.m.
Where: Utah State Capitol, 350 State St., Salt Lake City, UT

Bears Ears National Monument

Are you ready to stand against Trump's attack on Utah's national monuments?

You'll have a big chance Saturday afternoon in Salt Lake City. We're expecting hundreds to rally at the state capitol to voice their support for Bears Ears, Grand Staircase-Escalante and other monuments around the country.

Using the form on this page, RSVP to let us know you can make it.

This event coincides with a weekend visit to Utah by Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke. Right now, Zinke is executing Trump's order to review the designation of every monument that's been protected since 1996. His goal? To turn these magnificent places over to special interests like the coal, oil and gas, and logging industries.

It's a devastating attempt to dismantle some of the most cherished landscapes in the country, including these two monuments in Utah. All told, it threatens more than 1 billion acres of lands and oceans around the country.

This rally is a crucial moment for sending a very loud, very public message to Trump and Zinke that our public lands are not for sale.
