You’re Invited: Public Lands Defense Workshop June 8

Ironwood Forest National Monument

You're invited to participate in a free public lands defense workshop taking place on Thursday, June 8 at 6 p.m. in Phoenix at Saguaro Library, 2808 N 46th St.

Earlier this year the Center for Biological Diversity released Public Lands Enemies, a report identifying the 15 federal lawmakers most responsible for driving efforts to seize, destroy and privatize our public lands. Your senator Jeff Flake landed at number eight on that list.

Our national monuments and other public lands are under attack. We must actively resist Sen. Flake's efforts to liquidate our natural and cultural heritage to line the pockets of his corporate friends.

In support of this, the Center has partnered with the Arizona Sustainability Alliance to provide a free public lands defense workshop. Participants will learn about the public lands seizure movement and receive training on how to fight back; the workshop will last about 1.5 hours, with free pizza provided.

There's no cost to join, but you must RSVP to reserve your spot using the form on this page.

If you have any questions please contact Ryan Beam, Center public lands campaigner, at rbeam@biologicaldiversity.org or (928) 853-9929.
