You’re Invited: Public Lands Defense Workshop June 20

Ironwood Forest National Monument

You're invited to participate in a free workshop on defending public lands on Tuesday, June 20 at 6 p.m. in Tucson at the Wheeler Taft Abbett Sr. Library at 7800 N Schisler Dr.

Earlier this year the Center for Biological Diversity released Public Lands Enemies, a report identifying the 15 federal lawmakers most responsible for driving efforts to seize, destroy and privatize our public lands. Your senator Jeff Flake landed at number eight on that list.

In response to attacks on national monuments and other public lands, we must actively resist efforts by Sen. Flake and others to liquidate our natural and cultural heritage to line the pockets of their corporate friends.

In support of this work the Center has partnered with the Arizona Sustainability Alliance to provide a public lands defense workshop, free of charge. Participants will learn about the public lands seizure movement and receive training on how to fight back; the workshop will last about 1.5 hours, with free pizza provided.

There's no cost to join, but you must RSVP to reserve your spot using the form on this page.

If you have any questions please contact Ryan Beam, Center public lands campaigner, at or (928) 853-9929.
