You're Invited: Public Lands Defense Workshop, July 25

Basin and Range National Monument

You're invited to participate in a free workshop on defending public lands on July 25 in Reno. Earlier this year the Center released Public Lands Enemies, a report identifying the 15 federal lawmakers most responsible for driving efforts to seize, destroy and privatize our public lands. Rep. Mark Amodei (R-Nev., 2nd District) and Nevada Sen. Dean Heller landed at #11 and #15 on that list respectively.

In response to attacks on our public lands, we must actively resist efforts by Amodei, Heller and others to liquidate our natural and cultural heritage to line the pockets of their corporate friends.

To support this work the Center has partnered with Action Together Nevada to provide a public lands defense workshop, free of charge. Participants will learn about the public lands seizure movement and receive training on how to fight back; the workshop will last about 1.5 hours and free food and drinks will be provided.

What: Public Lands Defense Workshop
When: Tuesday, July 25, 6-7:30 p.m.
Where: Cathexes, LLC, 250 Bell St., Reno, NV 89503

There's no cost to join, but you must RSVP to reserve your spot using the form on this page.

If you have any questions please contact Ryan Beam, Center public lands campaigner, at rbeam@biologicaldiversity.org or (928) 853-9929.
