You're Invited: Public Lands Defense Workshop, July 27

Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument

You're invited to participate in a free workshop on defending public lands on July 27 in Salt Lake City. Earlier this year the Center released Public Lands Enemies, a report identifying the 15 federal lawmakers most responsible for driving efforts to seize, destroy and privatize our public lands. Utah's congressional delegation dominates the list, with Sen. Mike Lee at #1, Rep. Rob Bishop at #2, Sen. Orrin Hatch at #3 and Rep. Chris Stewart at #6.

In response to attacks on our public lands, we must actively resist efforts by these members of Congress and others to liquidate our natural and cultural heritage to line the pockets of their corporate friends.

So the Center has partnered with Utah Indivisible to provide a public lands defense workshop, free of charge. Participants will learn about the public lands seizure movement and receive training on how to fight back; the workshop will last about 1.5 hours and free food and drinks will be provided.
