You're Invited: Public Lands Defense Workshop, Oct. 3

Gold Butte National Monument

You're invited to participate in a free workshop on defending public lands in Las Vegas.

Earlier this year the Center for Biological Diversity released Public Lands Enemies, a report identifying the 15 federal lawmakers most responsible for driving efforts to seize, destroy and privatize our public lands. Nevada Rep. Mark Amodei (2nd District) and Sen. Dean Heller landed at #11 and #15 on that list, respectively.

In response to attacks on national monuments and other public lands, we must actively resist efforts by Amodei, Heller and others to liquidate our natural and cultural heritage to line the pockets of their corporate friends.

To support this work the Center has partnered with the Sierra Club's Our Wild America Campaign to provide a public lands defense workshop, free of charge. Participants will learn about the public lands seizure movement and receive training on how to fight back; the workshop will last about 1.5 hours and free food and drinks will be provided.
