Urge Sen. Klobuchar to Speak Out Against Anti-wolf Riders

One of the most effective things you can do to get through to a decision-maker is pick up the phone and make a single phone call. Please call Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) at (202) 224-3244, and urge her to speak up against the anti-wolf riders and any other attempts to undermine the science and integrity of the Endangered Species Act during the budget negotiations process.

You can leave your message with the receptionist or at the office's voicemail after hours. Just remember to be quick and polite -- and to include your name and where you're from.

Here's a sample script for your call:

Hi, my name is ______, and I live in ______ in Minnesota. I am calling to urge Sen. Klobuchar to please oppose any policy riders seeking to delist wolves in the Great Lakes and Wyoming regions during the budget negotiations process. These anti-wolf riders have no place in an appropriations process that is supposed to address our nation's budget. The riders will weaken protections for gray wolves and their recovery, and undermine the Endangered Species Act. They are shameless acts that signal to special industry interests that they can circumvent the requirements of federal conservation laws.
